We teach, encourage, motivate and INSPIRE by example and that is something I think Win Lyons lived!

We would love to have you join us as a team member at the event or just show up for the kickoff and first lap on July 22nd - 23rd in Woodland Park. If you would like more info just sign my guestbook or email me. I think a great way to honor his life would be to have the largest team ... many won't be able to attend but I'm hoping to encourage them to sign up as "sleepwalkers" ... for minimum donation of $10. I just need to know if you will be attending or "sleep" walking as a WINner! We will post list of sleepwalkers in our golf themed tent!

Join us in celebrating him at the Teller Relay for Life, click on Relay logo for more info!

Also, through wonderful donation from the Woodland Park Shining Mountan Golf Course, we will be doing a putting challenge at the Woodland Park Farmer's Market on 7/15 and at the Relay on 7/22-23. Play for chance to win bucket of range balls and all who play get entry into drawing (on 7/23 at Relay breakfast) for .........................

We each have a talent ... but I've learned that when we use and give that talent "unconditionally" it is at that point it becomes a GIFT!

The intent of this web site is to inspire others to live beyond adversity and be stronger for the challenge. Please visit my Current Projects page for NEW, exciting and often crazy things and ideas. I use this as a way to keep my sanity and use my creative "talent" (?).

In 1996 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 33. Thanks to family, friends, a sense of humor (warped at times) and a strong mental attitude I have successfully moved beyond diagnosis and treatments. I honestly feel blessed for the diagnosis because of the changes it has made, the people (Angels) I have met, the places it has taken me and the strength I have found as a result.

Every day I wake up is a good day, and if I have done one small thing to make a difference then it is a great day. I feel my voluntarism and work with Susan G. Komen for the Cure© and Race for the Cure© has empowered me and is keeping my "karma cup" full. I had the honor of doing a video to help celebrate 25 years of Komen, see my video message at here

To celebrate five years as a Survivor, my daughter and I spent a long weekend in DC at the 2002 Natonal Race for the Cure©.

The experience changed our paths and started us on a wonderful journey ...

... a  journey that would take us back to DC where I lead the Parade of Pink with Nancy Brinker (founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure© and obviously more comfortable with the cameras). In front of thousands she made the announcement of my winning the 2006 Suzy Komen Award...and I got a hug from Condoleeza Rice! Read more on my bio page.

In 2007 I celebrated with 11 Races for 11 Years with my 11th at the 25th Running of the DALLAS Race for the Cure!!
